Returns Policy
Your item must be in its original unused condition to be returned, unless there is a manufacturer defect and is covered by my product warranty. You must contact us to return the item within 7 days of receipt of your purchase.

Return Exceptions
Merchandise that has been worn, used, or altered will not be accepted for return or exchange.
Exchange Policy
If your item is in like new condition, you may exchange your item for a different size/color. You will not be subject to a restocking fee in this case, but you still will have to pay return shipping as well as enclose funds for shipping the replacement order. You must contact us prior to shipping your item by filling out this form in order to get complete instructions.

Import duties/fees are not included in purchase price and are the responsibility of the purchaser.
Shipping Policy
We ship within the stated timeframe on the homepage. This is typically 2 weeks or less, but is subject to change as noted earlier. We usually use USPS First Class or Priority Mail, but can use a different carrier if desired and agreed upon ahead of time.
Sales Tax
All orders shipped to any location in Wisconsin will be charged a 5.5% sales tax on the total order amount including shipping.
Product Warranty
All items manufactured by The Handmade Homestead are warranted against defects in materials and workmanship for a period of six months. If at any time during this period you discover a defect, we will repair or replace the item at our discretion. Due to the inherent rough nature of horse training, items that have been misused, neglected, damaged through improper use, will not be covered by this limited warranty (example: tying your horse with your reins and breaking the snaps). In addition, buyer’s remorse and mistakes in orders are not covered. The aforementioned exclusions include; but are not limited to: using any product as a tie down, obvious excessive strain placed on the item, trampling, damage by using harsh chemicals to clean the item, removal of lock stitching on halters or any other misuse not mentioned (horse/dog chewing, caked in mud, used as a tow rope or tree swing, etc). The Handmade Homestead will not be held liable for any damage or injury relating to the purchase and/or use of our products, nor will we be responsible for any incidental or consequential damages. The foregoing is the entire warranty and no other warranty whether written or implied will be honored.
Restocking Fee
All returned items are subject to a 20% restocking fee, this will be deducted from your refund. We also do not refund the original shipping and handling that you paid on the order, only the product price.
